5 Easy Cocktails To Make During Lockdown
It’s time to relax – and what better way than with a cocktail? We’ve picked out 5 of our favourites you can make straight from home – and they’re really easy too!
Your zoom call with friends is about to get a bit more lively. Ready?
Mojito for 1
Rum and lime, perfect combo
50ml of White Rum
1dash of Soda Water
2tsp of Caster Sugar
2 wedges of Lime
1 sprig of Mint
Crushed Ice
1.9 units of alcohol per serve
1. Squash sugar and lime wedges together in a glass.
2. Put 12 leaves of mint into your glass and mix with sugar and lime
3. Add crushed ice to ¾ of your glass
4. Add White Rum and soda water.
5. Stir with a spoon until well combined
6. Top up with more crushed ice and garnish with mint.
Blue Lagoon for 1
Turquoise citrus vodka
50ml of Vodka
25ml of Blue Curaçao Liqueur
150ml of Lemonade
1slice of Lemon
Ice Cubes
2.4 units of alcohol per serve
1. Fill a glass with ice.
2. Add vodka and lemonade.
3. Stir the mixture until well combined.
4. Drizzle 25ml Blue Curaçao liqueur over the mixture.
5. Cut a slice of lemon and secure onto the rim of the glass.
Sex On The Beach for 1
Vodka and a whole load of fruit
9ml of Peach Schnapps
35ml of Vodka
35ml of Orange Juice
35ml of Cranberry Juice
1 wedge of an Orange
Ice Cubes
1.9 units of alcohol per serve
1. Fill a tall glass with ice cubes.
2. Pour peach schnapps, vodka, cranberry juice and orange juice into the glass.
3. Mix altogether
4. Cut a slice of Orange and secure onto the rim of the glass
White Russian for 1
Creamy coffee and alcohol
50ml of Irish Cream Liqueur
10ml of Coffee Irish Cream Liqueur
25ml of Vodka
Cherries
75ml of Milk
Ice Cube
1.9 units of alcohol per serve
1. Fill a glass with ice cubes.
2. Pour irish cream liqueur, coffee irish cream liqueur, vodka and milk into the glass.
3. Garnish with a cherry.
Whiskey Ginger for 1
Tangy take on whiskey
25ml of Whisky
100ml of Ginger Ale
10ml of Lime Juice
1 wedge of Lime
Ice Cubes
1.0 units of alcohol per serve
1. Fill a glass with ice cubes.
2. Pour in whiskey, ginger ale and lime juice.
3. Slice a wedge of lime and place in the drink to garnish.
