2022 Epic Movie Releases

These films that we have listed are the most epic film releases that we are excited about in the year 2022!

Jackass Forever 

This film will be the fourth instalment in the series and the fifth in the series overall. Johnny Knoxville, Steve-O, Wee Man, Dave England and many more return to do more crazy stunts and jokes. This film had firings during the production, Bam Margera, was fired but his clips that were recorded with him will be included in the film. The reason for his firing is that he failed to keep with his contact which included that he submit routine drug tests, stay sober, blow into a breathalyser, see a psychologist and take his medication. It has not been revealed which one of this clauses he broke but he was fired because of one. This adds to a big build up. We will have many people making guest appearances such as Jeff Tremaine, Spike Jonze, Sean Cliver, Lance Bangs and Rick Kosick. We can not wait to see the wacky stunts and everything that they do in this film whether it is them running down a hallway and getting electrocuted and this happening while the song Electric avenue is playing or any of their other stunts that they have done the idea of this film coming fills us with excitement.

Uncharted

This film will be massive as it is a prequal to a series of massive games that were released on PlayStation and the franchise does have a massive fanbase. You will have big actors in the film such as Tom Holland who plays a Younger Drake, Mark Wahlburg who plays Victor Sullivan and Sophia Ali who plays Chloe Frazer. In the trailer we get clips of Drake tending bar and a clip of the one and only Sullivan talking about the treasure and some great action shots. We have a good mix of the people who voiced the characters in the game and the studio who created the game being involved with the set of actors that have taken up their positions in the movie. Naughty Dog released an image of the Nathan Drake voice actor, Nolan North, with Tom Holland behind the scenes. Naughty Dog and the whole of the film creators have kept lots about the film quiet. We do not have all the information on who will be playing who quite yet and so we will find out closer to the time or if not when the film releases in February on the 18th. Exciting times are ahead for us fans because Sony and Netflix have agreed upon a contract that will see the film go onto Netflix when it has had its run at the box office.

Morbius 

This film is set be a hit this year at the cinema, Michael Morbius tries and fails in his attempt of curing himself of a rare blood disease that infects him with a rare form of vampirism. We have a star studded cast of Michael Keaton, Jared Leto and Adria Arjona coming to make this film a hit! Mobius is a living vampire that is in the Marvel Universe and he is a hero and a villain which has got this film making us more excited about the release. The release of the film was scheduled for January but unfortunately the studio put out a statement saying that they will have to change the scheduled release to April this is because of the pandemic effecting when they could do things for the movie and eventually get it to the red carpet. The film will face off against Easter Sunday and The Contractor being other films being that will release that month. If this film can be a hit then for us comic fans will have a treat on our hands. We do not have much information apart from what I have stated so I guess we will have more suspense while waiting to see the film.

Sonic The Hedgehog 2

This is a personal favourite of ours when it comes to the films that are going to be released this year. The history that we have in this film from its comics to the video games that were released for it on several gaming platforms. This is the one we have been waiting for. Sonic, Tails, Knuckles and of course Doctor Egg man. Sonic wants to prove that he has what it takes to be a real hero. His test comes when Dr Robotnik returns with a partner, Knuckles, their mission is to try and find the emerald that can destroy civilizations and so Sonic teams ups with his own partner, Tails, in an attempt to try and stop them and find the emerald first. We have some big names in the voicing positions such as James Marsden who will be voicing Sonic, Idris Elba who will voice Knuckles, and Colleen O’Shaughnessey who will be voicing Tails. The films will be released on April 8th this year.
