This blog has been created as a go to guide for the best UK festivals coming in 2022. So if you love festivals or are thinking of going to a festival use this blog to decide where you would like to go.
BST Hyde Park: 24th June – 10th July
This 10 day festival spans across 2 weekends. With a four day free midweek program called Open House, that includes activities and entertainment. When it comes to music they play a variety of different genres. Some of the people that are headlining this year are Adele, Elton John, Pearl Jam and Pixies. Tickets prices are all different as you pay for that act that is the headline that day. The festival starts on the 24th of June and ends on the 10th of July.

This is a three day weekend festival that features Heavy metal, rock, punk rock and alternative rock artists. This festival itself takes place in Donnington Park, Leicestershire and starts on the 10th of June and ends on the 12th of June. You can only buy camping tickets which are for 3 days and 5 days, ranging from £260 -£268.
Isle of Wight: 16th – 19th June
This is a four day weekend festival that features Rock, pop and indie artists. The festival takes place in Newport, Isle of Wight, and starts on the 16th of June and ends on the 19th of June. Tickets range from £80 to £208, they have tickets for each day and tickets for weekend camping. There is also an option to buy extras alongside your tickets, for things like showering.
Glastonbury: 22nd – 26th June
This is one of the most famous if the most famous festivals in the UK, which makes getting tickets really difficult. It’s a five day festival and features artists of all genres with the confirmed headliners this year being Billie Elish and Diana Ross. The festival takes place in Glastonbury, Somerset and starts on the 22nd of June and ends on the 26th of June. The weekend tickets cost £280 and are only available to buy via See Tickets.
We Are FSTVL: 6th – 7th August
This is a two day weekend festival that features house and techno all the way to grime, garage and drum and bass artists. It takes place in Damyns Hall, Essex and starts the 6th of August and ends on the 7th of August. Tickets range from £61 to £147, with day tickets and weekend tickets available, they also offer a VIP option.
Boardmasters: 10th – 14th August
This is a five day festival that features Rock, indie rock, alternative rock and Dance artists. It takes place in Newquay, Cornwall and starts the 10th of August and ends on the 14th August. Camping tickets start from £159 to £245, there are also day tickets available but the prices have not yet been released.
Green Man: 18th – 21st August
This is a four day weekend festival that features Folk music, Psychedelia, Indie, Dance, World Music, Americana and Electronica artists. It takes place in Crickhowell, South Wales and starts on the 18th of August and ends on the 21st of August. Tickets start at £195 and they offer camping and non camping options.
Reading and Leeds: 26th – 28th August
Another very popular festival that actually takes place in two different places, they share the same lineup on alternate days so that they can perform in both places. It’s a 4 day weekend festival that features alternative, rock, metal, hip-hop, dance and pop artists. It takes place in both Bramham Park, Leeds and Little John’s Farm, Reading. It starts on the 26th of August and ends on the 28th of August, you are able to go on the 25th if you camp but there is no music on that day. Tickets range from £94 for a day ticket and £1,000 for a luxury weekend camping ticket.
Creamfields: 25th – 28th August
It’s one of the biggest electronic music festivals in the world, so if this is a gener you would like then this is the festival for you. It’s a four day weekend festival that features Drum & Bass, EDM, Electronic, Hardstyle, House and Techno artists. It takes place in Daresbury, Warrington and starts on the 25th of August and ends on the 28th of August. Tickets range between £195 and £240 with bronze, silver and gold camping options for all 4 days or just 3 days.
Parklife: 11th – 12th June
This is a two day weekend festival that features Indie, Dance, Electronic and Hip Hop artists. It takes place in Heaton Park, Manchester and starts on the 11th of June and ends on the 12th of June. Tickets range from £84 to £155 and there offer both day tickets and weekend tickets, with VIP also available for £199.
Lovebox: 16th July
This is a one day festival that features electronic, dance, hip hop and RnB artists. It takes place in Gunnersbury Park, London and is on the 16th of July. Tickets range from £72 to £125, with the two ticket options being general admission and VIP.
Latitude: 21st – 24th July
This is a four day festival that features indie, pop rock and reggae artists, they also have a BBC sounds stage that showcases new and upcoming artists. It takes place in Henham Park, Suffolk and it starts on the 21st of July and ends on the 24th of July. Tickets range from £156 to £226, depending on your age. This festival only offers weekend camping and not day tickets, so if you don’t like camping then this festival isn’t for you.
Boomtown: 10th – 14th August
This is a 5 day festival that features reggae, roots, folk, house, disco, techno, drum n bass, jungle and hip-hop artists. This festival is also fully immersive with a city and sets built throughout the festival and a storyline that people can follow throughout the five days. It takes place in Matterley Estate, Winchester and starts on the 10th of August and ends on the 14th. Although it is a 5 day festival the headline acts don’t start until the 12th but it is recommended to come earlier if you are camping. Tickets range from £199 to £245, they don’t offer day tickets but they do offer the amount of days you can buy. They also release tickets in different phases, which do change in price depending on who early you get them.
