Activities to Do Whilst Social Distancing
This week we’re here to help you keep your sanity by giving you some ideas that will get you out of the house while also social distancing. Always remember to check location websites before attending as rules and regulations are changing daily, but don’t worry there’s always something you can do to keep you and your friends entertained!
Take a Trip To the Park
When it comes to parks, there’s always one close by or one that’s easy to travel to so get your walking boots on because it’s about time we got some fresh air. Lots of parks offer nature trail walks which means there’s tonnes of wildlife to be seen.
Explore Where You Live
Fancy going out and the parks are too busy? Well there’s nothing wrong with exploring your own town. There’s always something historical and interesting around you so taking a walk around helps you learn new things about where you live and who knows maybe you’ll find yourself a secret place you’ve never come by before! Other neighbourhoods are not excluded so you can always take a little trip to somewhere you like the look of and explore there. Just remember nothing is ever too small to explore.
Go Fishing
Pick yourself a quiet spot by a lovely lake or river and set up that fishing rod. If you’re after hours of peace, this one’s for you. There’s always plenty of fishing destinations so make sure you have a look online and check if they’re up and running, grab yourself some fishing bait and head down for some safe social distanced chill time.
Time to Try Kayaking
We’re not running short of rivers and lakes and a majority of them offer little boat roads or opportunities for you to travel to water yourself. A peaceful activity for you, friends, family, basically anyone to do and who knows you may even see birds and fish you’ve never seen before.
Have a Picnic
Head down to your local shops and grab yourself some tasty treats that you and your friends can enjoy. Pick your location, bring the blanket, maybe a little speaker and there you have it – the perfect picnic. It’s always great to be spending quality time with the people you love, grabbing a picnic basket and an open space to safely social distance is a perfect way to do that.

National No Dirty Dishes Day: UK’s Favourite Takeaway Choices
Let’s be honest, the best part of the takeaway experience is when you’re done eating a painfully large amount of food, unable to move, feeling both remorseful but also a little bit proud, and then realising there’s no washing up to be done; the chow mein pots can simply be given to the dog to lick clean and then recycled appropriately. This means you can remain seated on the couch, nursing your bloated stomach until you fall asleep and then wake up for the leftovers. For this reason, we are giving a run-down of the UK’s favourite Takeaway Choices, as voted for by the public, in honour of National No Dirty Dishes Day.
